Miriam Kwietniewska (maker of MUD Deserts and co-creator of local business The Paleo Factory) hosts Feel More Now, an experience in Embodied Movement, Dance and Mindfulness at The Rockaway Retreat House.

Feel More Now is a 2 hour movement workshop where we’ll explore new ways of connecting to ourselves through moving, stretching, breathing, grounding, and vocalizing. We’ll work solo, in partners, and as a group. We will play, improvise, and build upon our strengths. This is not a dance class where you'll stand behind a teacher and mimic his or her every move. With the guidance of Miriam, you will be encouraged to explore what feels good for you, and taught helpful techniques and postures to ground you into the present moment. The workshop will be lead in an “open” format- no experience needed, just come with an open mind. The workshop will incorporate different healing modalities like self-massage, breathing, yoga, dance, reflexology, tapping, and other release techniques. My hope is that you’ll walk away from this workshop feeling more connected to yourself and to something greater than you. If this scares you, I encourage you to come- the other side of fear is love.

Miriam Kwietniewska's passion is to help people connect to their highest selves. Born in Poland, raised in New York, Miriam brings a multicultural perspective to her practice. In High School, Miriam danced with Hejnal, a Polish-American folk dance group and worked as a “dance motivator” at bar mitzvahs, weddings, and large parties. Miriam studied at Wesleyan University, where she continued to dance, choreograph, and study Anthropology and French. In 2013, she received the Community Action certificate from Gibney Dance Company in Manhatthan, combining her love of dance and social change. That same year, Miriam began teaching mindful movement workshops to children and parents in the foster care system, and became certified in Reiki, a type of energy healing. Today, Miriam continues to expand her wellness toolbox by studying nutrition, reflexology, yoga, energy clearing, and the chakra systems. In 2015, Miriam co-founded a clean desserts company called The Paleo Factory and is the creator of MUD- an ice-cream inspired dessert without the dairy, sugar, or nasties. Miriam lives in Rockaway Beach, and would love to connect with you. Email Miriam at HealLiveThrive@gmail.com, or find her on Instagram as “Mirrr Kay.”
